Mandalorian looks at what the future of Stand Wars will look like in the next few years

Star Wars is a big synonym; Big wars, big ships and, most importantly, big movie theater screens. But the future is changing, and Mandalorian shows exactly what it looks like.

The next three years will expand to the Star Wars universe at Disney +. Disney is not planning to release another Star Wars movie until 2022. Executives bring the current annual release schedule to the audience’s fatigue is universally acknowledged. This is not the first time an annual Star Wars movie will come out in four years, but the franchise isn’t really going anywhere.

The first finger to dip into the water was Disney’s Mandalorian, which just aired its season finale with criticism and fan appreciation. Ultimately the aspiration of the Mandalorians, though the first season filled with hiccups, was satisfying and Lucasfilm is a perfect example of how the Star Wars universe could expand without relying on big drama. Even where the Mandororians stumbled, they did not feel as intense as people’s problems with movies from Star Wars like The East and The Rise of Skywalker.

That stumbling block is the growing pain that can be spread next season. There is less pressure for a Star Wars show than a new movie – and especially a new trilogy. Lucasfilm and Disney are now in a perfect place: Mandorolian is a success, Star Wars is well-suited for further testing, and Disney + is a new sandbox that will allow similar experiments. The future of Star Wars will not only survive and die in major event films such as The Rise of Skywalker; It will be a success on the consistently weird and fun Star Wars show.

Lastly, the ambitious, hiccup-filled first season of the Mandalorians was satisfying
Mandororian is a project that was tested and surpassed everyone’s expectations, including Disney CEO Bob Iger. Mandolorian became one of the most talked-about shows of the year and made an event at Baby Yoda. The weekly episode of the new episode on Twitter is in stark contrast to the negative commentary surrounding the Rise of the Skywalker. Most of the conversations that people have had about the trilogy, including The Last Jedi, seemed to be a fatigue for the current Star Wars storyline. After movies aren’t gone forever, fatigue is settling down.

The next few years will be a time for Disney to tweet Disney + and to test ideas among favorite franchises to see what people want and don’t want. Animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars is returning for the seventh season next year, and there is a possibility that Diego Luna will chase a character based on the series, Cassian is indoor, landing in the second half of 2020, perhaps for the second season of The Mandalorian already. May appear in 2020 or 2028. And then Ivan McGregor’s Obi-One show is a spin on the show once more. Philma to be released Feb. speculation, which in 2021 is likely to be a hit as a streaming series

Being a Disney + product is a big bet for the company, and the risks are high, but the show is crap that it’s not risky to be forced to fit in for a big tentpole movie template at one time. Disney’s streaming service requires content. Star Wars as a universe allows for countless stories. This is a perfect franchise for Disney to explore, giving fans more Star Wars in their lives but in a bite-sized piece that is not connected to Skywalker’s storyline.

As a Disney + product this is a big bet for the company, and the partnership is high
Cross-pollinating Disney + and big theatrical events is a way to keep people engaged in a franchise – even if it’s not exhausting and eye-roll-inducing from a creative standpoint. There are multiple ways to build a franchise – just look at The Matrix, Fast and Furious, and DC Movies – but based on prior comments from executives, Disney is taking an approach with Star Wars that echoes what Marvel Studios has planned. That includes bringing producers like Kevin Feige, who essentially shaped the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and teaming with individual directors to tell different stories within the Star Wars universe.

It’s already a strategy to begin with. New shows like Falcon and the Winter Soldier will pick up where the Avengers: Endgame left off. Others, like Loki and WandaVision will exist in tied-in universes. Using big tentpole movie events like Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness to tie it all together is part of Feige’s strategy for the MCU. Marvel’s future is reliant on Disney + being more than a platform where movies end up and one-off TV shows live. If all goes as planned, they will feed into each other.

Marvel Cinematic Universe is not just a theatrical drama, the content head of Divine + told The Verge. Looping into stories with Disney + shows, it’s also a streaming. According to execs, it’s not just Marvel that Disney is looking to work with. Other franchises like Star Wars get the same treatment

Best and Worst of Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker – Our World Review

Around the world, millions of fans are rushing to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, most of the people in the CNET office. Reel down the corridors and cubicles, echoing the debate over whether that scene and The Last Jedi were amazing / trash, with no work to finish.

Classic fans will love it – even if it is re-read
I’ll give it to JJ Abrams. He knows how to make a polished, eye-catching film so that Star Wars fans include all the elements they want. The Rise of the Skywalker is a relentless thrill ride that runs from one plot point to another and provides plenty of fantastic set pieces and nods to the elements of the original trilogy. Star Wars is back, I thought.

But here’s the thing about Abram’s films – they go away so quickly you really don’t have time to process what’s happening.

After the excitement of another Star Wars film subsided, and I had time to think about it, I realized that it hits the same plot points as Return of the Jedi. It’s not exactly a force read that Force Awakens was, but there are enough similarities that you can easily see the parallel structure. For some, especially fans who hated The Last Jedi, this may come as a relief. The Rise of the Skywalker Click and place lots of pieces in Force Awakens. It is ultimately produced and widely entertaining, even if it comes as predictable.

Nothing could save it
It was a strange experience for me. The first thing I did was dislike the Star Wars movie, since I don’t know if there was a way for me to be overly positive about this movie, since the previous two installments made me do very little to care about most of the characters or their woes. Did.

Some things I enjoyed: A great idea to jump multiple light speeds, the Emperor seemed disgusting and weird in the best possible way, and the “Ray Jedi Support” scene was some really cool fan service. But at the end of the day, you’re giving a promising performance of four truly talented actors who were thwarted by an absurd, misleading script.

The best from the new trilogy
I approach the Rise of the Skywalker with suspicion. I wasn’t a fan of The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi. But this last Star Wars has many similarities to the original trilogy and is a fitting tribute to the galaxy far away. There are plenty of jokes from Droid and Finn and Poe’s growing enthusiasm for bromance. There are very gentle moments. There is another “I know” moment of Han Solo. There are lots of action and fight sequences, and the horses climb up a spaceship! And Ray looks for his last name before finally choosing a better name.

Now, when can I expect to know where he came from?

The formula is strong with this one
The thing I never expected to feel in a Star Wars movie is nothing. Especially the final Star Wars movie. Especially with such a climactic cavalcade of cameos and spectacular moments, this movie is probably the most Star Wars movie of Star Wars. The Rise of the Skywalker boasted about some of the biggest moments and characters you’ve probably never seen – and I know I’ve seen every one of them look spectacular and cool and delight a lot of people – I just couldn’t care if they were off the list. Don’t mind the tick.

Whatever your feelings about The Last Jedi, you have to admit it showed that Star Wars films still have the power to surprise. The Rise of the Skywalker has no courage. Nevertheless, I admit this will be a very satisfying final for many dedicated fans. But for all the noise and rage, the protected and predictable The Rise of Skywalker is just remodeling deck chairs in Death Star.

Large buffet, little satisfaction
I’ve been a Star Wars fan since the Sixties, so when I don’t like a Star Wars movie, it always gets confused with me. And I didn’t like The Rise of Skywalker, though it didn’t betray the franchise in any way. I also reminded myself that this is not a great ending to the story of the nine films, it was shot in 20

Every new Star Wars movie and TV show has been confirmed so far

Although Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker may bring the story of Skywalker to an end, there are still plenty of adventures far, far away set in the galaxy. Where in the past, live-action Star Wars was only for the big screen (minus a few Christmas specials), thanks to Disney’s streaming service, Disney Plus, the future of the franchise is much higher on the small screen.

There is also a change in the pace at which the new Star Wars movies will be released at the cinema. A new Star Wars movie has been released every year since the debut of The Force Awakens in the 21st. However, after The Rise of Skywalker, we have to wait until December 2022 for another big screen adventure, from which there will be a new release every two years. Those years of Star Wars will instead be filled with new Avatar movies.

So, what story will the new Star Wars movies tell? Lucasfilm and Disney are generally hard-pressed. “We’re looking forward to the next story,” Lucasfilm director Kathleen Kennedy told The Hollywood Reporter. “We are not just looking at another trilogy, we are looking forward to the next 10 years or so” “

Which Star Wars movies first come out after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker? Will there be any other “Star Wars Story” standalone films like Rogue One and Solo? Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker is the only new Star Wars movie we can talk to very convincingly once Colin Travaro was appointed Director of Jurassic World, JJ Abrams of The Force Awakens took over. It only makes him one of two guys – the other being George Lucas, the creator of the series – who will direct multiple Star Wars films. Abrams said he originally had no plans to return, “but he couldn’t resist when the opportunity was presented to us to end a story that started new stories.”

In terms of storytelling, we don’t know much, because the trailers only hinted at what’s to come (it would be good to read all of our Rise of the Skywalker theories). We know of actors, including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy D. Williams, Naomi Aki, Richard E. Grant, and Kerry Russell, as well as other major faces from previous sequel trilogy installments. Fisher will appear as Leia using the Force Awakens footage shot for Force Awakens, but there is still no word on how Luke will return after he dies in The Last Jedi. Smart Money will return as the Obi-Wan Kenobi-style Force ghost.

The three Star Wars movies are scheduled between 2022 and 2026 and will be primarily directed by Gamers of Game of Thrones show-runners David Benef and DB Weiss. However, the deal was cut short, as both men were busy doing Netflix shows (they signed a no-no deal with streaming service in early 2019). They said in a statement, “There are only so many hours in the day, and we feel that we cannot do justice to both Star Wars and our Netflix project.” So we are moving away with regret. “

Benioff and Weiss did not reveal what they planned on a galaxy far, they reaffirmed their love for Star Wars, while Kathleen Kennedy left the door open to return: “David Benioff and Dan Weiss are incredible storytellers, we hope when they When he is able to move away from the busy schedule to focus on Star Wars To be included in the ride “

With the throne duo no longer on board, who will take charge of piloting the next Rise of the Skywalker galaxy? We currently have no real idea except that Kathleen Kennedy has decided, and that choice will be announced in January 2021. One thing we do know is that it will not be lifted by Rian Johnson. Star Wars movies in chronological order
Here is the chronological sequence of the Star Wars movies, The Phantom Menace, which debuted the series, now arriving at The Rise of Skywalker, complete with what’s known as the Skywalker Saga. It’s fairly straightforward.

Note that we only put it in live-action films, but for reference, the Clone Wars animated series and movie are set between Episodes II and III. Star Wars: The Rebels is primarily set between Episodes III and IV. The Mandorian is set in episodes VI and VIII. The upcoming Obi-One series will be set in the third episode and fourth. The upcoming Rogue One spin-off about Cassian Under is before that movie and possibly after the previous ones. Resistance Animated Series is consequently set in the trilogy period. Scroll down to get a viewing order with these re-placed.

The official Star Wars timeline uses Yavin’s battle as the epicenter of that cosmic event. For ease, we will simply use a new hope to make the chronological order of these films relevant.

Star Wars First Episode: The Phantom Menace (A New Hope set 32 years ago)
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (a new hope set 22 years ago)
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (A New Hope Set 19 Years Ago)
Single: The Story of a Star War (set a decade before a new hope)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (The End Of A New Hope)
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
Star Wars Episode Five: Empire Behind (set after three years of a new hope)
Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (set four years after a new hope)
